A qualified bidder had the option to purchase the business as a going concern and have the existing stock cancelled if they were going to recapitalize by selling new stock. They also had the option to bid on only the assets of the company, that's what all the bidders did, and that's the sale that closed.
So do you have a link to someone who turned in a bid for the shares and the company in its entirety or no? See that little exert only applies to someone purchasing the entire business. It doesn’t apply to someone purchasing “only” the assets of the company as the shares have zero bearing on the assets.
