Don't you think that Nationalization was the Plan all along:

(1) All Paulson had to do was allow the gses to borrow at a reasonable rate from the UST (using MBS held in the gses' portfolio as collateral). Many believe there was no need for governmental assistance to begin with, and the evidence appears to show Hank Paulson strong armed the BoD into conservatorship 12 years ago.

(2) How can the NWS be characterized as anything other than the nationalization of two private corporations?
