Tesla's Pr Jeff Dahn 1million mile battery webinar 22min mark in the youtube video below.


This webinar was held last night at Dalhousie University in Canada. Pr Dahn explains why it is so important for lithium ion batteries to last for 1++million miles for EVs and ESS Grid Storage.

If an EV driver does what they do with petrol/diesel vehicles. That is, fuel up when they are approx 25% from empty. The EV battery will actually last 4.5million miles...see images from Pr Dahn's presentation below.

Without all three materials above, the batteries wont last for 1-4.5million++ miles.
