Right, but I never thought he wanted to reward those prior investors with the roll down, rather and as you mentioned to protect himself from the data taking longer than he expected it to take.
With the last series, it seems that would also suggest he might want additional monies for LEAPS and any monies needed to entice a potential Big Pharma to take them over....the idea being it would be an offset to the cost of an acquisition.
Sushi claimed he bought some October 20 calls elsewhere recently, but I don't know if he kept them...I see he now says he believes this will not go past December.... :)
Good luck and yes, I do rely on my charts....and some people I trust on the science (Fosco, a few here and elsewhere). Sushi does provide good information, too, but he keeps a lot of that to himself and certainly could work on his dealings with others with much less finger pointing & downplays...life calms one down over time).
