Agree with you both. The decision is at SCOTUS for a reason. Administration talk on both sides of the aisle has mostly been just that. Talk. While taxpayer money was spent fighting the GSE'S in lower courts.
Ideologically, this administration has been for release from conservatorship, but they have fought it legally every step of the way.
