It was just over a year ago that Value Line started to report the short term (18 month) data. We started collecting it and how present it to give a feel for what the shorter term outlook is relative to the traditional 3-5 year outlook.
It's too soon to have a median value for the ST data that is of much meaning. Eventually we'll have enough to get more meaning out of it and establish bullish and bearish signals.
I'd guess the shorter term index will tend to lead the longer term. Eventually we might be able to examine it for a 'crossover' of the LT data as some sort of signal.
