#15117 RE: Elmer Phud #15115

If 90nm at Intel is "in trouble" Intel itself is in a world of hurt for lying to their investors. I would say that 90nm at Intel is already late... 130nm started shipping in May 2001, and products were announced in July. It is now about 27 months after that announcement, and no 90nm announcement yet. Intel has stated 24 months between process introductions. 90nm is now late. Not really late, but it must be considered "behind schedule" by Intel. Couple this with the increased thermal envelop for Prescott and it is pretty clear where all the negative internet rumors are coming from. I believe it is reasonable to expect a fair amount of Q1 Pentium production to be prescott rather than northwood. In addition, I expect prescott to be around 5Ghz next year... I think to believe otherwise is folly.
We will see.

You guys don't need good reasons. It said so in the inquirer!

Weak, Elmer. I accept this as your concession of defeat.
