If the trials are ongoing then they are either stopped by the fda or continued. I think they had problems enrolling people because of the pandemic. Everything was shut down for a while.
Grip, The last one on your list: Dr. RP was fired for cause. You knew that. Sorry it didn't work out, but whether it was the BOD or CEO, termination with cause is usually done carefully. Legal haggling ensues, of course.
