Why would anyone buy shares if they are being given shares for compensation. I wouldn't buy more shares because You need to stay diversified. I do not see the execs not buying shares as a red flag, its just good finance on their part.
The big problem is dilution. It makes it more difficult for the share price to move.
I don't know why the price is being held down. Some entity with a lot of means wants to squash this because they have too much to loose in my opinion.
