If I remember correctly they said something along the lines of they would be more inclined to the interim analysis if the enrollment was going slowly but since it is not and they expect enrollment to be done by the end of the month or early October they don't see the need the have to delay the trial for the analysis if we should expect results by late October/early November. I am by no means an expert on FDA regulations so I cant really comment on why the interim analysis would delay the trial
