Mc. Relief received the funding to complete the IV trial and start the inhaler and any EU trial .
The IV trial will not be stopped for futility .....they stated that I believe at Interim 1
The IV trial is unlikely to be stopped at Interim 2 even if data suggests they can . IMHO they will run this trial to completion since its powered for statistical significance with 144 patients ......and they will want that data to be highly stat sig if possible to get FDA approval for wide spread use . Ie to include all hospitalized Covid patients on O2 assist . Note ....layman’s understanding of stat sig and powering of clinical trials so open to be corrected .
They must be close to fully enrolled now unless they have had trouble recruiting ....because 50% in this trial will be on placebo and with the increased compassionate ? use of RLF-100 many just may want the drug and may not be willing to sign up.
Anyway I’m looking forward to them stating the IV trial is fully enrolled as then we can count down to published results . Also hoping the fire capt makes it out of the ICU ..His lungs are severely damaged . Wish he could have got RLF -100 earlier
