Hrm. I guess, if GMT is the same everywhere in the world.

Sounded to me like the guy was saying that your program calculates when GMT is based off your computer's clock. So if you wanted to trick it for instance and get it to calculate 2 hours earlier you could set your clock on your computer (just for example) as if you were in California if you were really in the mid-west (2 hours early or late however you want to look at it).

So, yea you can't change the software but you can change where it gets its time from.
