My grandson is only 5... he's been in preschool for a couple of years now and yesterday was his first day of kindergarden. His school is down to half its normal enrollment since a lot of people are afraid to send their kids. I feel a bit of angst for the little guy myself. But, I like that his life is somewhat normalized.
They practice social distancing and each child is required to wear a mask or a face shield. My grandson and most of the others wear a face shield. The public schools are still closed. This is a private school. I'm now glad my daughter is a bit of a skin flint. She managed her funds so that she could put him in private school. Most of her friends chide her for living far below her means based on her income. But, I applaud her choices
Let's hope all our families stay as safe as possible since this disease is no joke. If effects so many things and there are still a lot of unknowns. All of our decisions entail risk these days.
