Clearly this unnecessarily high capital requirement was done by design so that it could be lowered after the comment period and to appease the angry democrats . Now Calabria will have political cover when he lowers the target and makes it appear that housing will be more affordable now that he lowered this number .

Clearly smart response from the GSEs, hope this forces FHFA to lower the capital requirements significantly...meaning at least 50%
