I agree. But I have those among my family and friends who don’t agree and I would like to convince them otherwise. That’s why I am looking to make relevant multi-year comparisons of the overall death rate by month. I expect that data to show that this year’s overall monthly death rate is higher due to Covid-19. That data for the State of NY and the country of Italy might be particularly informative.

This is a rear view mirror analysis. How do you know that life expectancy hasn’t declined by 10% for every survivor that has been exposed to the disease but is still living?

We’ve know that obesity and other indications are correlated to people dying since March. Unfortunately this seems to have become a political talking point to cover up how botched the management of the disease was at the National and at the State level.

COVID being a contributing factor is enough to be a "problem"

that needs to be solved. Period.
