Where did you hear this? Sounds like buy the rumour sell the news kinda thing.

I watch / trade stocks going into uplist. About 60 per year uplist. Most uplist to Naz (~80%) because it's so much cheaper than NYSE. Small companies almost exclusively go NAZ. Most stocks don't perform well on the other side. Some of it is because management just wanted a pay day. Others, it just takes time to grow into the over-valuation that uplisting usually precipitates.
