there are a TON of people who can indeed use the low rates and be approved for mortgages !! Imagine 50-60% of people - mostly the better off - who work from home or simply have money

Haven't seen any data, but I wonder if that's because the workers who have been the most hurt by layoffs (and covid) are renters, not home owners/buyers
