#19115 RE: Raglanroadie #19114

Jeff/RaglanR,

Reflecting on the long, long thread concerning legal expenditures my mind wandered to an imaginary executive staff meeting in San Diego:
. . . . .
I.J.: As you know, our customer Pantech has announced that they will never, ever pay anything owed to anyone. They said that goes double for Qualcomm. I propose we donate our entire net profit for 2005 and 2006 to the San Diego Symphony Society as we have done in the past. Is there any discussion?

Sanjay: Dear Leader, Paul and I have discussed an alternate plan that we believe will gain us the admiration, or at least the attention, of message boards across the breadth of the overnight-wealth community.

I.J.: Please go ahead, S.J.

S.J.: We feel that we ought to divert not less than $100 million annually to a legal jihad against our customer base. We will allow them to retain about 5 percent of their wholesale prices on CDMA-flavored products and send us the remainder of their revenues.

P.J.: Pops, that will allow us to purchase the Metropolitan Opera opera and bring it to San Diego. Then we can buy the La Scala structure and move it here stone by stone. It will have the added advantage of ticking off the entire EU and OptiSkep.
. . . . .
Of course, we know they implemented part of this. Surely the Board will try to buy the silence of the investors by increasing the dividend again this year.

Merry Christmas and all the other good things!
