Lol. I read the paper on my kids tablet but struggled downloading the supplementary tables.
The fact that covid balf expressed sequencing related to nmda and human drg contains the receptors for cytokine recruitment and signalling definately tells us there is a neuroinflammatory component. The fact that the animal model shows that this drug can inhibit cytokines pleomorphically is awesome bc that is needed to treat severe covid. That is why the il6 inhibitor is not working. You need multiple inhibitory effects preferably upstream in the pathway
I am very encouraged by this study and will email the scientific officer if they would consider a proof of concept study for non covid ards if they show efficacy in this trial. That would a HUGE market.
I think this could also be the missing link. Why do covid severe's crump so quickly? It very well could be the positive feedback from the neurons sending signals to lung immune cells.
Drug is safe. Pleomorphic in cytokine inhibition which reduced acli in animal model significantly. Plausible biomarker data and hypothesis from the study. Multiple indications.
I am investing.
Am i worried about cydy and rlf100 having plausible treatments earlier? No. Because the moa of this drug is different will most likely work synergistically with those immunmodulators. I am VERY surprised this has not been on Dr Been.
