I've been there. (On the outside of a stock. Only seeing whats on the surface. But I've never laughed off a tip). In MKGP, one thing that gave confidence to add to my holdings from 2012 was that these were they same guys from the original Company. They have experience and connections in the industry, respected managers. Where I've fallen prey in the past here in the OTC is finding a brand new start up with no history but an enticing "story". In most cases those guys fail. You look at the team they've assembled. The moves they have made to set up their share structure. Its something I haven't seen before. Sure there are companies that claim future share reductions, up listing etc but in 95% of those cases its never done. Here everything they announce, they follow up. It gives me a lot of confidence that their acquisitions and possible mergers will hold significant value.
