Fantom-An officer that exercises stock options (depending on expiration) is making a statement that they think the stock price will be much higher a year out, otherwise they would exercise the option and sell the stock. The expectation is to hold it for long term cap gains vs short term by exercising and selling. I didn't see all the details but in general that is how it works.
