I don't think we can attribute what is going on over on the SI board to either bias or ego. It's simply incompetence. The guy's well meaning but he's simply in way over his head and it's an exercise in the human experience. Political correctness and parental authority don't ever work on adults. In my opinion the only effective moderation is none at all. The ignore feature worked fine for years and we got along fine without being treated like children. If someone is abusive then ignore them.
