I am pretty sure there wasn't a pandemic at that time and RSII didn't have a concrete product/service to help cope with it.

With no doubt this will be trending up overtime. You can try to sell the highs and buy the lows and that might work out for you. You also might sell prematurely and miss out. No one can predict what the market does from day to day...
