So is there potential to harness the methane coming from landfills to convert it to hydrogen?

Are you sure all source CH4 is converted to H2? Volcanoes spew substantial CH4 also; not all is flared, but escapes into space well above earth’s atmosphere, accounting for a high % of global warming.

I continue to think HYSR will do well if its 100 demonstration modules prove to last as long as the lab cells’ plates did. 1000 hours before catalytic plates needed replacement. See SunHydrogen.
