Not when the same person is the one buying and selling. There is no period required for DD. The same person owns both. This is merely a transfer and can be done in a days notice.
Why not buy after confirmation? The name of the game is minimizing risk. What’s the downside if this ends up being drawn out / tied up in litigation / ends up being a scam / doesn’t measure up to people’s expectations?
