Trading will commence for tickers that are subject to splits only when a company's transfer agent sends the new dividended shares to each Broker. It can take hours or days or weeks depending entirely on the efficiency of the transfer agent.
Investors can phone the transfer agent and/or their Brokers to see if/when the new dividended shares have been, or will be sent to the Broker.
