I can never understand why folk can't be bothered to do the DD that establishes very quickly that the CEO is lying to them
Because it's the dream of the big score. Along with having no understanding of what they are invested in. I wouldn't touch a financial or banking stock - I don't understand their banker language in the filings. But when you have the dream, who cares if you understand the business. Which means no DD is required outside of reading, and getting excited over PR pumps.
