Thanks for your sage advice. Obviously no one should invest in an OTC stock with money they can not afford to lose. IPIX has the additional problem being an extremely small company battling big pharma lobbyists and clout.
I do disagree that a bet on Brilacidin is a lottery ticket in terms of risk.
If you read and understand the PR's from 2/18/2020 forward you will see a progressive validation of the science of Brilacidin for Covid19. The RBL studies are going to be complete in 2-3 weeks. At tha time we will have a more complete view of the studies and perhaps a fair comparison with Remdesivir.
It is obvious the FDA,HHS, Barda and NIAID all believe an antiviral will be an important part of any treatment regimen for Covid19. IMO that is the main reason Remdesivir is being featured as a center piece of any current treatment combination.
Remdesivir's clinical trials have been very controversial. The studies have been manipulated to optimize its results. At this point it is controversial if Remdesivir even lowers mortality or the viral load in Covid19.
All this means a any anti viral which shows a positive result in Covid 19 human trials has a chance to replace Remdesivir as the drug of choice.
IMO Brilacidin has an honest shot at being that drug. In order to achieve that Brilacidin has to complete its preclinical studies with a continuation of its outstanding results. Then it will have to be successful in the human clincal trials. The hurdle to replace REmdesivir is very low. Brilacin has shown it is safer than Remdesivir in its clinical trial for ABSSSI.
If the preclinical in vitro studies and the first human clincal trials suggest Brilacidin is superior to Remdesir; IMO, Brilacidin's trials will be expedited and an EUA will be promptly issued followed by numerous combination trials.It is possible this could be accomplished relatively quickly.
Every positive test of Brilacidin lowers it financial risk to shareholders.
