OT:New paradigm as vaccine caution was and is necessary to protect the vaccine franchise , the general accepted idea that vaccines are safe for hundreds of other diseases was a guarded objective of all regulatory authorities.

Covid-19 threatens to turn those objectives upside down, as peril to world economy is tragically sever, financially and fatally. The word "reactogenic" will perhaps be part of the new vaccine lexicon, as it will perhaps be irresistible to lower the bar on vaccine approval, even though non-fatal side effects may be common
but previously un-approvable.

Now even a fast grab let's do it vaccine, can be distributed till 2021 to major population, according to all science top heads who will not make a faster buck over rosier predictions.

BGFV one thing to keep in mind

The pandemic is both a headwind and a tailwind. While its true that people are buying more due to covid its also true that other things like team support sales are decimated by covid with leagues canceled. So there are cross currents here. I think the covid response is dominant but it is at least partially offset.

From the CC
"Partially offsetting these positive trends and softness in our team support sales, which has been negatively impacted by widespread suspension of league seasons and reduced school activities. As we approach the remainder of the third quarter, team sports and back-to-school sales would normally represent a meaningful portion of our business."

I also think some of these health trends are durable. I believe people will be nervous about large crowds and more concerned with their health. Those trends are positive. And as hweb said they earned .40 last year before any kind of cost savings.

I think as the dividend and more importantly as earnings approach it moves higher. It's still way under book value, and the company will be flush with cash on the balance sheet. I did lighten up a bit in the high 7's but I think anyone selling or worse shorting here is a moron.
