That was a lucky stroke to get you out of a tight spot. I have known a few myself. What a strange dialect they speak. Knew one who was half basque and half gypsy. Honestly, I could not understand his english he accent was so garbled. He loved to talk so I would just shake my head like I could understand him and every now and then I would say "how nteresting". They are good people. Did you ever eat at the Basque restaurant in Boise while you were there?
