I bought ten Franklin Mint sterling silver bars on eBay this weekend. They are 1000 grain 92.5% pure bars. 1000 grains = 2.29 ounces

2.29 x .925 = 2.12 ounces of .999 (ASW).

I paid, on average, $45 a bar. Thus, I paid about $21.23 an ounce for .999 equivalent silver...shipping included...well below spot.

The deals are out there, you just need to know where to look and how to search.
