That might be in the works already, Remdesivir does need to combine with something to improve their results, otherwise eventually a better drug from one of the other BP's will overtake them with a better drug.
I actually see this as a positive, as it would make sense to try with other compounds as well, to make sure you have the best treatment out there plus it is always good to have a fall back option as well in case this phase 3 fails.
I could easily see them do a combo with B as well, once B is ready.
Otherwise a competing BP might do a combe with B, The end price is big having the best treatment out there, many BP's would be interested in winning it
