There are a lot of cities who are aka cowtown. In my case, it is referencing Fort Worth. Proud that my daughters and granddaughter are native born there.

I love the Fort Worth Stockyards. Preserved to look just as they did in the wild west times. Plus, Billy Bob's Honkytonk is there, also. Still attracts top tier country music stars every Saturday night. Willie Nelson likes to hold his 4th of July celebration there (but for awhile he quit. He got tired of DPS pulling over his Magic Bus looking for drugs every time he crossed the state line).

Some of my friends don't like having a door-wide decal of a longhorn steer on their Fort Worth police cruisers. I tell them to be proud of it. I just like western heritage. My wife is a descendant of Captain Dickinson, who was a true hero at the Alamo, where he was killed when Santa Anna attacked. I built a copy of the facade of the Alamo when I had my storage/shop building constructed. Used the same type of stone and just replicated the entrance. I get a lot of people stop their cars when driving by so they can snap a picture.
