I use to watch a TV like that when I was a kid. oops, dating myself. lol

The days of vacuum tubes are all but gone with the exception of guitar amplifiers, etc. and digital tech is rapidly gaining the ability to reproduce tube characteristics. In fact they are just about all the way there now.

What will they think of next. lol
