Can someone please explain how NP's consistent pattern of "optimism" and confusing messaging can possibly help defend the company against shorts, and in general help bolster the confidence of the market. As do most here, I believe in the science! But notwithstanding how great the science is, doesn't down playing, or even worse, ignoring the impact and potential opportunity cost of poor messaging, seem to effectively help enable management to continue making the same (extremely easy to improve) mistakes?!?!
