Tesla plans to use data from its cars' computers to determine insurance rates for drivers based on how aggressively they drive, similar to what other insurers offer through third-party connected devices.

Absolutely! Even if IGEN has nothing to do with Tesla (Which we don’t know for sure) if this becomes an industry standard because of low premiums it could be massive for IGEN with the patents they hold. Very cool! Also Tesla has some DEEP pockets right now! Who knows?

Other Insurance companies will need a device in a car that can deliver telemetry data so they can maintain someones rates and raise them if they speed regularly etc. Igen makes this device that could be mandated by insurance companies going forward.
