Why did they need funds. I thought they had all they needed from the sale of the smellter.

So many people don't seem to understand that the offering seems to be based on a trading average price and might have been in the works for some time. So they couldn't just offer at the highest closing price of the last xx months, to explain this. The timing was bad, as silver is still rising, and w/o this offering, we would have been a lot higher. But please note that the fundamentala haven't changed. They have improved. Faster Velardeña-ramp up? Perfect! Rodeo fully funded? Perfect! More exploration on the easy lodes a d thus more proven resources? Perfect!
Rodeo is being drilled at the very moment, and the metals are rising. AUMN is massively undervalued.

ATB I agree with everything you said. AUMN has alot of money in the ground and they have to get it out. Great thing to have the Heckla lease pay the bills, but share price is not going to move the meter until they produce profitably.

They've set themselves up to make money, but need the financing to get them there. Where else will they get the money? The financing as you said was in the works earlier. Its also normal to be sold at a discount.

Current shareholders are probably selling shares to raise cash to put into the financing, theirfore helping the company which is probably whats keeping SP down temp. Very positive factor is there were no warrants attached.

Onwards and upwards. We're a couple press releases away from nice increases in share price. The gypsy swapping overhang is going to be over soon as well. One of my fav picks here. Looking forward to seeing some Rodeo numbers drilling and production. Exciting little project they got for cheap.
