The letter stated that the potential partner has a user base and an install count of over 1 million devices. that is a fairly significant amount of devices and if they can collect data from those devices and process it in their system it is potentially a very big deal. The key word here is potentially. I'm not sure how the partnership is structured and whether the MSI will be getting paid to use their data or whether they have to pay the app provider to collect their data for redistribution. The details would be structured in the contract as to how the partnership would work.
