Black-ops you are correct. Hopesters TA wouldn't have saved him from that attack but it would have told him it was overbought at the time and maybe got him to back out for a time. I am not that savvy of an investor so I tend to go with your style. I invest and hold hoping my due diligence is and gut feel is right.
I can't tell you how many times I cautioned that the stock had become Extremely Overbought. this had nothing to do with fundamentals and getting of the train at this signal would have prevented a paper losses of over 50%in 3 days. All T/A.; None Fundamental. Now I will agree that there is good reason for long term holders to keep holding. My thinking is simple. I believe a pullback is in the cards. That's not advise to liquidate positions. It's a cautionary note. When it gets to pullback zone, I'll look again . Maybe I'm right., Maybe I'm wrong but I base my projection on what I see on the charts; not on any news that may or may not be coming.
