Very interesting if true. I read an article saying Sweden had right idea to protect the elderly but just did a poor job executing the plan. Hopefully they weren't just letting old people die, especially if there was spare ICU capacity. In NY and Italy I heard some of those tough decisions had to be made to withhold care if patient's chances were not good.

In general we spend an inordinate amount of money on people in the last year of life. If one needs to triage medical care due to limited resources... Hopefully it doesn't come to that because we will all be old some day or have older loved ones or are already old ourselves.

Still, we will always have the circle of life. Very natural. Old people die. Their kids and society in general carry the torch and never forget. Most want the next generation to have a "better" life and sacrifice to give it to them.

There are articles written pro or con on Swedish approach and hard to get to the truth. We indeed are all biased when it comes to politics or many of our existing beliefs, and it is hard to be open and not to be a hypocrite. This is why people have no respect for politicians who exemplify the definition of hypocrisy .. Except the few who stand by their principles and aren't power hungry egomaniacs who will do and say anything for power fame and money. Hah, speaking for myself anyways from my biased perspective.

Let's hope brilacidin or any other treatment helps so we don't have to worry about old people dying from Covid any more.
