I understand the explanation and it makes sense but it means the gap remains. To this day, no gap has gone unfilled for IPIX and no “we’ll never see these prices again” prediction has held.

But what brokerage(s) allows penny stocks to be shorted? Example—-IPIX at 25 cents and what brokerage would deal with someone ‘ margining’ on the belief it will slip to 10 cents?

Very True...fundamentals always overrides technicals...the technical trends are always modified by the fundamentals... many more positive fundamental PR's are expected in the relatively short term.

IMO...this consolidation was driven by the flippers during a lull in the news...fueled by some very short term new players who dont understand what they bought...as well as some foolish shorts waiting for the faux gap.

As these technical players realize a "penny" gap is not a substantive gap and they (and shorts) abandon their quest to "fill the gap"...they have to buy back in (and cover their short) or miss the ride up...
