newtothis88, also, keep in mind if there was a signed deal by the Debtors and Creditors. then this opening, closing and opening stores is NOT possible without the Court's approval and we have seen nothing filed.

What it says to me is the plan has totally changed and the reason the stores are staying opened is that some entity or person has AGREED to purchase JCPNQ lock, stock, and barrel OUT-OF-Bankruptcy Court in totality!

The plan initially had store closings based on individual location p/l. Upon discussion with a potential bidder JCP was made aware that the bidder did not want these sites to be lost based on non payment of rent. These are still valuable to the bidder. Really cheap insurance to keep those sites open!!! amigo.
