A 1% death rate is wrong, at least by simple view. The following are as of the end of today(7/13/20):

A)Total US cases: 3,479,483
B)Active cases: 1,791,767
C)Total closed cases(A-B):1,687,716 (closed cases defined as recovered plus dead)
D)Total Deaths: 138,247

If I were calculating the death rate, I'd figure it by D/C=138247/1687716=8.19%

All numbers but C came from worldometer.com

Where did this 1% come from? That’s not reality. Reality is more like .026% per latest CDC. My bet is it will end up much lower (try .01% or less) once more data is in. Also, deaths are WAY overstated. There are 135 k “from” coronavirus but nobody’s dying from pneumonia, stroke, heart diseases or traffic accidents anymore. Hmm.

Anyway, it’s good BrilAcidin will therapuet (yes, a new verb!) Covid 19 so people wont need to panic.
