There are plenty of submersible vehicle kits available, which is probably all they purchased and then put together.

I say that because I'm sure there was the 'Freudian slip' saying it was a new design. They probably made a few mods and slapped a 2.0 sticker on it.

They've never claimed in print or a paid promo it was their proprietary platform, but maybe they will if you call them.
