Possibly, but I think it has more to do with the time of year. We always see lower volumes during the summertime, especially in the cannabis space.
The whole space is experiencing low volume right now. Same for big board Nasdaq & nyse stocks.
I don't read into it too much.
I think pot stocks will wake up in early to mid sept....maybe sooner with the election year in the US. Lots of legalization efforts on the ballots this year & states are desperate for tax revenues.
Overall, fundamentals in the space are strengthening, especially in the states.
In fact the whole world is desperate for tax revenues. Cannabis & hemp legalization efforts should see a substantial uptick as governments look for solutions to fill the gaps and shortfalls caused by the virus.
On top of that, the science of cannabis is growing. Its' utility for medicinal uses are increasing and slowly being discovered.
This should bode well for the whole space regardless & potentially be a catalyst that sparks a new market cycle in the cannabis industry.
For now, the space continues to consolidate & grind. Timing is ripe to accumulate your favorite/ well positioned names and wait, imo.
