I have several 1911 A1's, and none of them are expensive. I have quite a few Rock Island Armory (Armscor) and they are wonderful hassle free and accurate; none of my 1911's coast me more than a grand, and most of them were a thousand.
Me Centennial is a damn fine 1911 A1 and I got a few years back for just above five hundred. Technology has made this honorable firearm to be better than the past and better than ever in fit and features.
