My thought was the hope that the COVID trial is lackluster. Like something wacky happens and the placebo group is all 24 year olds expected to live and we get a bunch of people that had hours to live in the drug group.
But the EIND was good and that had some hard luck cases and we still got 80%. Best on the market only has 30%. So if things did go pear shaped the FDA will likely ask for a larger study since we seem to like trying to do as few as possible.
Still HIV is in the bag and the company is making the right move to get more funding. So if we did dip I'd just buy more. It would only mean a delayed pay day.
