Back in 2008, when many of the IDIOTS making market here were still in kindergarten, there's a bank called IndyMac. I was a major shareholder there. I woke up one morning and saw a Headline News saying "Feds seizes IndyMac Bank." By the time I logged into my Scottrade and ThinkorSwim accounts, I had lost some $189,000.34. That represented virtually all that I owned in free assets.
I was left with $6500 to start over.
I considered suicide or starting over. I chose the latter.
A few weeks later, a tiny insurance company called Conseco disclosed that its auditors will include a going- concern warning in its reports. The stock crashed from $3 to $0.32.
I ploghed all $6500 that I had into the stock, buying 19700 shares. In subsequent weeks, I kept putting every paycheck k into CONS until I had 54000 shares.
I held Conseco from Nov 2008 through July 2011 and sold the shares at about $4.65 avg, turning $24000 into $230,000.
So, BRING IT Onnnn!!!! I don't cut and run!!!!!!
