While the listing for NYSE American is 2$ one of the benefits of it is the DE-LISTING is .20 Cents, much lower than the NASDAQ which under normal conditions is 1.00.

Listing on the NYSE American to begin with IMO would be a much safer play as to decline below 1.00 and stay there would make them vulnerable to de-listing back to the OTC....but more importantly for investors the NYSE American and its .20 Cents threshold would keep investors safe from a REVERSE SPLIT option by the company.
