The following is an email that I received from Dr.Chan concerning Sea Star. I wrote to him earlier today and he responded this evening.

Hi Gene,

I hope all is well. They are making cytokine reduction claims that go well beyond their US label. This high molecular weight cutoff filter is similar to Gambro/Baxter's Septex and Fresenius' Ultraflux EMIC2 membranes, both of which were not successful products.
